Arlene joined the Louth Physiotherapy Clinic in May 2013. She is a fully licensed and practicing Chartered Physiotherapist. She obtained her BSc of Physiotherapy from Keele University in the UK in 2009. She has full HPC and ISCP registration.
Whilst at Keele University, she developed and gained excellent clinical experience in many different areas within the NHS. This experience includes musculoskeletal inpatient and outpatients, community, neurological rehabilitation and respiratory care.
Subsequently, Arlene has worked full time as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist in private practice for the last 5 years. This has included busy private practices in Australia and Dublin. Her caseload has consisted of a wide variety of acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders, conditions and sports injuries.
Arlene has continued her professional development since university by completing a number of courses is manual therapy and dry needling. She has also completed Australian Physiotherapy Pilates Institute (APPI) Matwork Pilates courses and is a qualified class instructor.
Arlene has a strong GAA background and is an extreme sports enthusiast. Currently she is the main sports physiotherapist for Roche Emmett’s Men’s Intermediate and Junior teams. She also plays with Roche Emmets Senior Ladies and mentors at underage. In her spare time, she is also a keen runner and aims to complete a half marathon in the near future. She has won several senior county league and championship medals in the past. She knows and understands what it takes to get there as she has experienced many injuries along the way.
Arlene mainly works out of the Dundalk and Carlingford clinics.
